A Little Slice of Heaven Bakery

The Owner Melanie Wideman is the owner and designer at A Little Slice of Heaven. She grew up in a family that prided itself in making delicious meals from scratch. As a child, Melanie enjoyed helping her mother in the kitchen as she made her delicious pies and delectable pound cakes. Her favorite tasks, after helping her mom get the baked goods in the oven, were licking the bowl and playing with the scraps of leftover pie dough to create unique works of art. Melanie began baking at the age of 16. Her first creation was a three layer chocolate cake with chocolate frosting. Melanie developed a passion for baking as an adult and it always made her smile to hear people comment on her delicious creations as they reminisced over their childhood and the baked goods their mothers or grandmothers made.
