The employees formed A Yard & A Half Landscaping Cooperative, Inc. in 2013 to purchase our 25-year old company from the retiring founder/owner, Eileen Michaels. For us, cooperative ownership is a personal investment, not just a job. Worker-owners participate in professional development, learning transferable skills and creating economic growth and self-sufficiency.
