AC ChievoVerona are a professional football club based in Verona with a unique history. Founded in 1929, the club was the first and so far only able to reach Serie A from the lowest level of the Italian football pyramid. Chievo won first promotion to top flight in 2001, climbing 7 divisions from amateur status in an extraordinary rise.
