ACAY Philippines - France

Founded in 1997, ACAY, which means to rise up in the Philippine language, represents 25 years of field experience in the Philippines that have allowed the development of innovative educational strategies that respond to the problems of troubled youth and that have shown convincing results. In 2000, the School of Life, a place of welcome, education and empowerment, recreates a family environment for young girls aged 15 to 23, victims of abandonment, neglect, and violence. In 2002, the Second Chance programme aims to reintegrate incarcerated minors into society with a training programme in the detention centre and support on leaving prison. In 2005, the family programme enabled the parents of ACAYs young beneficiaries to be involved in supporting their reintegration and accompanying them in their parenting.
