Access Community Group

Access Community Training was established in 1986 as a SkillShare organisation, providing training and support to the young people of Wollongongs northern suburbs. In 1997 it changed its name to Access Community Group to better reflect the wider range of services it provides. It has operated continuously since then, expanding and evolving as it adapts to the needs of its communities and the programmes funded by local, state and federal governements. The organisation has historically been geared to provide government funded programs with a focus on: Local Community Advancement, Skills Development, Disengaged People, Youth, and Environment It is a not-for-profit organisation which is managed by a volunteer board of directors. Currently ACG services to over 1,500 clients throughout the Illawarra, Shoalhaven and Southern Highlands. ACG is a registered charity.
