ACCIONAPLUG

This 50-50 joint-venture (JV) between ACCIONA Energia and Plug Power, integrates in a unique platform the expertise and know-how of two leaders in their respective markets, and provides tailored made and competitive solutions along the whole value chain of the green hydrogen business. The JV develops, operates, and maintains green hydrogen projects, serving the growing demand in the Iberian Peninsula. The goal is to reach a 20% market share of the green hydrogen business in Spain and Portugal by 2030, which entails an initially planned investment of over 2 billion. Plug Power will serve as the preferred electrolyzer technology supplier and ACCIONA Energia as the preferred clean electricity provider, positioning Spain and Portugal as global leading green hydrogen hubs.
