Adelphi Kitchens & Cabinetry

In 1946, Adelphi Kitchens began as many small businesses do: in a garage, located behind the Yatron family residence in Reading, Pennsylvania. Originally named Yatron Brothers, all four brothersPaul, Nicholas, Harry, and Strattonwere soon involved in the business. Their workspace served as a factory, sales room, and warehouse. By 1950, Yatron Brothers included not only the four partners, but five employees as well. After several years in Reading, the Yatron brothers worked tirelessly during night and weekend hours to build their own factory on Lancaster Pike, which they opened in 1955, now with twelve employees. Yatron Brothers remained at this location until 1962, when they purchased a 40,000-square-foot factory in West Lawn, Pennsylvania, a suburb of Reading.
