AdoptAClassroom.org is a national nonprofit that empowers teachers and high-needs schools with the funding they need to equip their classrooms and students for success. Over the past 25 years, as weve grown in size; staff, reach, and funds raised for classrooms, the need to support teachers and students has continued to grow as well. According to our 2023 survey, teachers out-of-pocket spending has reached an all-time high, with teachers spending an average of $860 a year on supplies to equip their classrooms and students. Every student deserves the opportunity for a quality education, regardless of their economic circumstances.
