AFEW International

We are providing support & international voice on rights & health access to underserved populations in Eastern Europe and Central Asia. We are a member of the AFEW partnership, which consists of four members operating in Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, the Netherlands, and Ukraine. We are: 1) Advocating for human rights for key populations and upholding their rights to health. 2) Engaging communities in developing participatory approaches. 3) Countering stigma associated with HIV/AIDS, hepatitis and TB by providing information to community leaders and creating a supportive environment. 4) Developing and support health services for key populations. 5) Utilizing innovative strategies to promote healthy behaviours. 6) Presenting the EECA HIV health/rights context at the global level with international fora, networks and experts. 7) Linking West and East, and facilitate dialogues at regional and country level.
