After-School All-Stars Las Vegas

Our Mission: Our mission is to provide free, comprehensive after-school programs that keep children safe and help them achieve in school and in life. We accomplish this by providing at-risk youth the opportunity to participate in programs that include sports, educational, cultural, and community enrichment components. Our Program: When the dismissal bell rings at 14 Title-I schools in the Las Vegas Valley, our All-Stars make their way to their academic classes. A student struggling with his math homework gets support from a licensed teacher. She is able to check-in with him the following school day to see how he is doing. In another class, youth work in small groups together to finish an English assignment. After getting their homework out of the way, youth are ready to go to to their enrichment class. A student in STEM is learns how to code and design her dream video game, while down the hall her friend plays the guitar for the first time. Applause roars from another classroom ...
