agape /agapa/ The name for Agape House comes from the Greek word Agape, which means the unconditional love of God. God is love. I John 4:8 To never turn away a child in need is the foundation on which Agape House is based, and a promise we make to those who seek our help. Through spiritual, emotional, psychological, and physiological programs for teen girls and young adult women, as well as counseling for families and the greater community, we have welcomed girls from all walks of life who have struggled with different forms of abuse and seek ways to cope with the effects. Agape House offers hope and healing to abused or distressed girls ages 12 through 28 through four ministry programs including Christian counseling services, mentoring relationships, educational programming and cultural arts experiences, and a safe home.
