Aggie Westons

Aggie Westons provides pastoral support to serving members of the Royal Navy, Royal Marines and their families. Its vision is that all of its beneficiary group should be living life in all its fullness which means with physical, emotional and spiritual health and enjoying strong relationships. Pastoral support is defined as listening, encouraging, comforting and supporting; offering practical help where possible and signposting to more specialist advice when appropriate. Aggie Westons employs about 30 Pastoral Workers (PWs), covering most RN and RM bases. Normally working alongside Naval Chaplains, PWs engage in practical support activity (for example through facilitating coffee lounges or toddlers groups) but their main aim if to be in amongst the beneficiary group offering a non-judgmental ear to listen when someone feels the need to talk.
