Agricultural Produce Agents Council (APAC)

APAC has as core mandate, the protection of farmers that utilise registered agents to facilitate their agricultural product marketing as prescribed by the Agricultural Produce Agents Act, Act 12 of 1992 (the Act). APAC remains firm and committed to maintaining and enhancing the status and dignity of fresh produce agents, export agents and livestock agents mandated through Section 9 of the Act. The success of the agent model should therefore be enhanced to ensure the performance of their duties with professionalism, integrity and transparency as prescribed by the Act and the Rules within an ethical trading framework.
