AIAA at UIUC

The American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA) Student Chapter at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign is the premier student organization on campus geared towards exploring Aerospace Engineering and its related fields. All university-affiliated individuals, student and faculty, undergrad and graduate, are welcome to participate in AIAA. AIAA is the worlds largest professional society devoted to the progress of engineering and science in aviation, space, and defense. The purpose of the society is to advance the arts, sciences, and technology of aeronautics and astronautics, and to promote the professionalism of those engaged in these pursuits. The AIAA Student Chapter at the University of Illinois accomplishes these goals through various activities. We sponsor talks about current research in aerospace, graduate school and undergraduate research opportunities, and we conduct field trips to companies and museums.
