AK Kerani was founded in 2011 to promote knitting as a therapeutic, creative outlet for mental health. Our corporate program equips staff at companies to knit as a creative means of fostering collaboration and effective communication between teams. The hour long program consists of a 30-minute knit tutorial and a 20-minute mental health discussion tailored to the interests of the company at hand. In a study done by Corkhill and Riley in 2009, 81 percent of respondents indicated that knitting makes them feel happier.
