AL Dassouki Group

Al-Manara company was established in mid-1968. The company invented a new kind of steel furniture covered in plastic, called plastskin. This type of furniture was new and widely popular in Syria. At the time, Al-Manara also designed American style kitchens and ovens. To improve its production line, the company began manufacturing ventilators with electric motors making Al-Manara the first Syrian manufacturer to produce shaded-pole motors. Meanwhile, Al-Manara made a deal with an Italian company to produce electric heating stoves, hot irons and hairdryers. On November 23, 1999, the French Moulinex company was established. Al-Manara was the first in Syria to take agency from the French Moulinex company and produce many of its products.
