INLAND CONTAINER DEPOT Our Inland Container Depot comprises of an open yard with a main entrance, loading and offloading zones and warehouses. The open yard is a modern concrete facility surrounded by an electric fence and a perimeter wall. The yard is properly drained and flood lit thereby enhancing security within the area. The ICD which is also referred as a dry port was licensed with a main objective to decongest the port of Dar es salaam. The ICD is designed to handle imports containerized cargo which can either be in FCL or LCL. With the state of the art facilities at the ICD we are able to strip the containers to the satisfaction of the receiver considering caution during the process. Since this is our main trade we handle the cargo professionally shutting out all possibilities of breakage and pilferage. On arrival at the ICD the receiver and or the agent carries out the usual procedure of clearing mainly verification and clearing with the concerned authorities. Our Inlan...
