ABDULLAH H. AL SHUWAYER COMPANY is one of the pioneers in the construction contracting industry in the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia. The Company was founded by Abdullah Al-Hamoud Al-Shuwayer in Rastanura. Saudi Arabia in 1945. The company began construction contracting in 1945 for housing projects with the Saudi Government authorities, Gas and oil facilities with Arabian oil Company (AOC) and as a subcontractor to Bechtel international for its oil related projects with Arabian American Oil Company (ARAMCO). In 1967, Shuwayer Company had broadened its scope of endeavor by contracting directly with ARAMCO for projects at Rastanura, Abqaiq and other oil fields in the Eastern Province and with AOC in Khafji. These projects valued at more than 60 million US dollars, included structural and mechanical work for the LPG plants, Gas-Oil Separating Plant (GOSP), Desalination Plants.
