Operating activities of Alchemia are concentrated in three pipe mill plants: Huta Batory, Rurexpol and WRA and two subsidiaries: Huta Bankowa and Kuznia Batory. HUTA BATORY produces high quality seamless steel pipes (diameter 219 - 508 mm) from a wide range of steel grades, including carbon steel, alloy steel and heat resisting steel, provides a wide range of products: line pipes, construction pipes, shipbuilding pipes, boiler tubes and construction pipes for machining. Those are used mostly in the power, petrochemical and drilling industry, and in building gas and oil pipelines. Huta Batory is also a significant supplier to the domestic market of steel ingots. Steel is melted in electric arc furnaces. Our vacuum steel degassing unit (VAD) and ladle refining furnace (LDF) allow for producing ingot steel of high quality and metallurgical purity.
