The first and most representative national student federation in Romania The ANOSR movement started back in 1995, but only became structured in 1998, when students leaders felt a lack of a central and efficient co-ordination. Thats why in April the 4th 1999, in Timisoara, during the International Student Week, the first General Assembly meeting took place, where 24 organisations from all over the country participated. The only national student federation recognised at a european level In october 2002, ANOSR has become a full members of the European Students Union (ESU). As an ESU full member, ANOSR has the support of representative federations from all of the European states.
