ALMUN (Arab League Model United Nations)

ALMUN is a live simulation of the workings and deliberations of the United Nations and the Arab League. The Faculty of Economics and Political Science (Cairo University) hosts it. ALMUN raises students awareness of current global and Middle Eastern issues. Each year, we recruit hundreds of Egyptian, as well as foreign, students to take part in our activities, sessions and the annual conference. A sizable portion of those recruited peruse a diplomatic career. A trained team of moderators and organizers guide recruits to take an active role as participants through 9 training sessions where they acquire all the skills theyll need in order for them to be well prepared to participate effectively during the conference. Many of those skills are transferable to other career areas, such as presentation, negotiation, time management, and communication skills.
