Alpha Polyplast Ltd built a greenfield plant to manufacture high-strength polyester strapping, employing state-of-the-art technology developed to utilize recycled PET flakes coming from the PET recycling division. The strapping is sold to commercial users for use as product strapping or pallet strapping. The strap is manufactured from PET Polyester (Polyethylene terephthalate), which is a new Environment friendly strapping material to substitute Steel Strap. For the advantages it offers, it is being increasingly used in packaging for strapping medium and heavy products replacing steel. PET strap has better strength to weight ratio than steel.
