Alternative Engineering was founded by D. Robert Rodriguez in 1994 to design and test custom machines for the auto industry. We began by designing unique stand-alone factory equipment for automotive stamping plants, and quickly expanded to custom automation. We have since broadened our services to accommodate numerous industries, including distribution centers, powertrain plants, and foundry plants. Our experience in material handling has also helped add strapping and banding integration to our portfolio. Over the past 22 years we have developed, designed, and manufactured hundreds of custom pieces of equipment for Fortune 500 companies around the world. AEIs strength is in our methodology of creating alternative solutions: we prepare efficient and cost-effective solutions that suit our customers specific needs, rather than what may have been requested in a boiler plate bid package.
