About Us Altnordu Sports Club was established in Izmir, a port city in the westernmost part of Turkey on December 26, 1923. It is the first sports club established in Turkey after the declaration of the Turkish Republic on October 29, 1923. The founding president and the namer of the club is the famous pharmacist Eczacbas Suleyman Ferit Bey. Its colors are red and navy blue. Altnordu is one of the first teams of the national professional league in Turkey, which was founded in 1959. The most important footballer is Sait Altnordu. Sait wore the jersey of his club, from which he took his surname, for 25 years, between 1928 and 1953, without interruption. In 1936, he took part in the Turkish national team that participated in the Berlin Olympics.
