Altopro is a privately owned Mexican producer of biaxially oriented and cast polypropylene film and has been conscientiously serving the flexible packaging industry for 30 years. With four lines over two locations, one in Mexico City and in Irapuato, Gto., we have become leaders in the manufacture of biaxially oriented polypropylene (BOPP).The solid foundation of providing flexible packaging films to the food industry has led to many new and highly specialized film types in clear, pearlescent, white, matte, metallized, oxo-degradable, antifog, and high barrier films, to name a few. We are proud to announce our recent purchase of a fifth BOPP manufacturing line from Brueckner Maschinenbau to be installed in our Irapuato facility. It will be a five layer, 8.7 meter wide with a capacity of approximately 20,000 metric tons per year and is projected to start at the end of 2016.
