ALYSJ Joint Venture, which is led by AKTOR and includes L&T, Yapi Merkezi,STFA and Al Jaber Engineerings participation. A consortium led by Greek construction major Ellaktor has been awarded a USD 4.4 bn contract for the design and construction of the Doha Metro Gold Line. The project is expected to be completed by August 2018. Ellaktor subsidiary Aktor, which has a 32 percent stake in the Alysj joint venture, has signed the contract for the project, which is expected to take 54 months to complete, an Ellaktor statement said. The Gold Line is by far the largest single construction package of the Doha Metro. It traverses Doha from East to West.
