Amazon Development Center Romania

Opened in 2005, Amazon Development Center in Iasi was Amazons first R&D facility in Eastern Europe. Since then, its grown into a major business unit which hosts a number of teams including Regulatory Intelligence, Safety and Compliance (RISC) Operations, Global Solutions and Risk Compliance (GSRC), Amazon Creative Services, and Retail Business Services (RBS). In 2022, this center was recognized for its contribution to the regional economic development, receiving the Biggest Tech Company in Iasi award, as part of the Best Cities for Business event organized by Forbes. In 2017, a second corporate presence was established in Romanias capital.
