Amruthavarshini

Amruthavarshini is the Carnatic Music Club of NIT Trichy. But wait, we are not just any regular kacheri gumbal (concert troupe). Yes, we sure are a casual community of talented musicians - vocalists and instrumentalists alike who are trained in a Classical Music tradition. But, we have dozens of nerds, cricket freaks and eccentrics who just make the club very much a quirky family which keeps singing at the moan of a Tanpura. We at Amruthavarshini have created a community of student musicians who groom one of our countrys own proud music traditions with regular meet-ups. We have weekly practice sessions where we just come together and learn songs taught by our own people. If you happen to visit NIT Trichy, keep a keen ear, for the drone will lure you to one of our rustic practice sessions.
