ANAC - Brazils National Civil Aviation Agency

Constituted as a special autarchy, ANAC (National Civil Aviation Agency) is the Brazilian regulatory agency responsible for the regulation, safety and security oversight of Brazilian civil aviation. Established in March 20th, 2006, ANAC incorporated the staff, the structure and the functions of the Air Forces Civil Aviation Department (DAC), the former civil aviation authority. ANAC mission is to promote safety and excellence in the civil aviation system, in order to foster the countrys progress and the well-being of the Brazilian society. The vision is to be an authority recognized as a leader by the international civil aviation community, with the goal of having one of the five lowest rates of accidents in the world by 2014.
