Andson began in 2010 as an effort to change social mobility in Southern Nevada. In other words, how can we get teens and young adults well versed in personal finance and more understanding of the importance of financial literacy to their future? Through innovative lessons taught to our audience - and never with a one size fits all approach - we can help students retain information on personal finance. The problem was, there was so much more to be done. Getting into groups and student bodies showed us that students had trouble in the basics too. Reading and mathematics were suffering, and we had an idea. Fast forward to 2011 - we decided to launch Andson Academics - a small-group tutoring program that will blanket the Valley and give students the remedial attention and confidence to succeed in their schooling.
