Artifex Flexible Tubes Limited was founded in 1971, in Surrey, England. By utilising new and improved methods of engineering to produce convoluted metal hose, the family run business expanded considerably and quickly became a world leader in the manufacture and supply of stainless steel hose, braid and hose assemblies. Arcflex was founded in 1980. Also a family run business, Arcflex specialized in the correct manufacture of bespoke flexible hose assemblies, bellows and expansion joints for all industries. The company expanded over time, offering a complete package of integrated precision engineering, design, fabrication and testing. The two UK subsidiaries of the Group, Arcflex and Artifex, merged in 2019 into a new purpose built facility in Staffordshire.
