We are a home-grown architectural practice with a global presence. Through our work with numerous local and regional healthcare and research institutions, we have developed a wealth of knowledge and expertise in the design of medical wards, research laboratories, testing laboratories and high-containment facilities. Our role as a designer is closely tied with our role as a hospital planner or a laboratory planner, as the flow of people and processes are foremost to the design of such facilities. A design should not only be functional but should also be enlivening. We strive to create an identity to a facility, leaving visitors and staff members an emotional memory of the facility after departure. We encourage collaborations through creating spaces for deliberate interactions, and pause spaces for chance encounters.
