Army Public School Roorkee

Army Public School Roorkee was established in 1990 by converting the erstwhile Bengal Sappers Knox Memorial School. The school is affiliated to CBSE in 1990 vide CBSE, New Delhi letter No. CBSE/Aff/21439/90 2132-35 dated 27 Jul 90. A chain of Army Public Schools is being established in various Military Stations under the Aegis of Army Welfare Education Society (AWES). There is a three-tier command and control system of Army Public Schools i.e. Board of Governors and its executive committee at Army Headquarters, Board of Administration at Headquarters Command and Managing Committee at stations where the schools are located.
