Arouet

Arouet Foundation is a 501(c)(3) Arizona nonprofit corporation whose mission is to provide education assistance, workforce development and job opportunities to incarcerated and formerly incarcerated women who are sincere about working hard to change their livelihood. It all began inside Perryville Prison in Goodyear, Arizona in 2004. Televerde, a Department of Corrections workforce development partner, began a reentry program called T.O.P.S. (Transforming our Possibilities) to help prepare incarcerated women for life after prison, implementing programs that emphasize education, job skills, and post-release work opportunities, without increasing the burden on government. Then in 2011, Arouet Foundation was formed to take over these activities to ensure we were reaching a broader group of women. Arouet Foundation has proven that recidivism can be substantially reduced by more than 75%, with programs that emphasize education, job skills, and post-release work opportunities. Aroue...
