Richard Pieris Distributors Ltd (RPD) is the retail sector fully owned subsidiary of RPC (Richard Pieris Company PLC), the largest hypermarket chain in Sri Lanka operating under the brand name Arpico Supercentre. The pioneers of the hypermarket concept in Sri Lanka with the Everything under One Roof concept, Arpico houses a wide array of products including FMCG, Household Durables, Toys, Giftware, Electronics, Rubber Products, Bakery & Cafe, Pharmaceuticals and Furniture along with a host of lifestyle solutions such as utility bill payment facilities. Commencing operations in 1932 as a manufacturing-based company, the group became more retail focused in late 80s with Arpico.
