Arthavida Intermediary Limited (AIL) was incorporated in 2013, as a limited liability company affiliated to Arthavida Foundation Guarantee Limited & Arthacharya Foundation. AIL commenced operations on the 1st of April 2014 when it took over the micro finance functions that were previously conducted by Arthavida Foundation Guarantee Limited. The period before the incorporation of AIL combined with the period after, account for 27 years of experience in eradicating poverty by providing financial solutions to marginalized populations in different parts of Sri Lanka. AILs main focus is providing small loans for income generating activities to the countrys financially excluded societies. Presently, AIL is running its operations from its head office and 16 branch offices, together covering 9 districts and catering over 40.000 clients.
