ASCE VIT

ASCE or the American Society of Civil Engineers is an organization that represents members of the civil engineering profession worldwide. Founded in 1852, its purpose is the advancement of the science of civil engineering and enhancement of human welfare through activities of society members. A part of this organization is a student chapter in the Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT).Every year in the month of March the International Civil Engineering Symposium or ICES is conducted that brings together students of different colleges to celebrate this noble branch of engineering. Various events ,workshops and conferences are conducted providing students with opportunities to hardwire their knowledge, learn new technology and create innovative master pieces. Another part of ASCE is their technical team EKLAVYA which takes part in the International Canoe Competition conducted every year in North Carolina.
