Ascension Credit Union

Ascension Credit Union is a not-for-profit, full-service financial institution, offering a wide range of services to members. Structured as a financial cooperative, the credit union is owned and operated entirely by its membership, or by the people that have accounts with us. Ascension Credit Union is the ONLY Credit Union that is home based in Ascension Parish, with its focus on serving residents who reside in Ascension Parish. Ascension Credit Union was chartered on March 12, 1974 as Ascension School Employees Credit Union to serve employees of the Ascension Parish School Board and served members from a closet in East Ascension High School. Due to dedicated and supporting members, in February 1977, we opened our doors to a little office on the second floor of the Bank of Gonzales.
