Asha Kiran Society

We are Asha Kiran Society (AKS), a not for profit organisation, established in 1991, based in Koraput District, Odisha State, India, registered under the Societies Act of 1860. Asha Kiran Society (AKS) is located in the tribal heartland of Southern Odisha. The tribal lands is a breathtakingly beautiful but remote area, surrounded by rolling hills and pristine water bodies. Asha Kiran Society works amongst indigenous tribal groups, a forgotten, gentle and hardworking people. However, a lack of access to basic education and medical facilities, archaic agricultural practices, and poverty means the tribals here have some of the highest morbidity and mortality indicators in India and in the World. We have received funding from the United Nations, TATA Trusts, and various other foreign and domestic entities.
