Athena Academic English

Athena Academy is the subsidiary of Elite K-12 International Education Group. We adopt the US Common Core Standard and the teaching methodologies of Project-based Learning (PBL) in designing our programs. Our aim is to provide our students with opportunities to not only learn Academic English, but also to acquire the soft-skills of critical thinking, collaboration, communication, problem solving and creativity, which will enable them to adapt and enhance their own capacity in this constantly changing 21st century. Our customers are international education seekers who have children between the ages of 4-15. We offer two main course types - literacy/language courses and design media courses with a focus on learning skill goals rather than content goals. We are strongly focused on student-centered approaches to teaching including project-based learning and inquiry-based learning.
