Athletic Skills Model

We move too little and when we do move, it is often too one-sided. As a result, our motor skills and fitness suffer. This is what we call movement poverty. It increases the risk of injuries, dropouts in sports, various health problems, and diminishes the enjoyment of physical activity. The Athletic Skills Model (ASM) aims to get people to move more and in a more varied manner. Enjoyment is a key component of this, providing a solid foundation for lifelong physical activity. To this end, the ASM introduces the Fundamental 10! for movement. The ASM is a practical and scientifically substantiated model for everyone involved in movement: in healthcare, (elite) sports, physical education, and the arts and culture sector.
