Athleticare Sports Health Foundation is a nonprofit organization seeking to create safer high school sports programs. It was founded in 2014 by Dr. Ronald Wagner. Dr. Wagner, a life-long athlete himself, noticed the number of high school sports programs in St. Louis, MO that were ill-equipped to run safely. Sports are cornerstone programs at many high schools and a lack of safety can lead to injury-prone activities and even the untimely end of young athletes sports careers.
