Purveyors and pushers of NZs finest coffee - Atomic Coffee Roasters opened its doors on Ponsonby Road in 1992 back before cafe culture was a thing. We were the scruffy kid, pumping out live music and top-notch coffee from between fine-dining restaurants. As we hit full steam, the queues grew longer than our slice of the strip could handle. So in 1995 we made the move to Kingsland, finding our groove as part of this creative, eclectic community. It was time to grow up, and we poured our energy into crafting uncompromisingly good coffee. We held nothing back, roasting into the wee hours, experimenting, testing and tasting until our beans were the best. As well as our Kingsland roastery, we now operate three bustling espresso bars in central Auckland, where you wont need to comb your hair or hide your tattoos to fit in.
