Atrex Energy, formerly known as Acumentrics SOFC Corp, is a leading supplier of remote power generation solutions including a state of the art solid oxide fuel cell. We design and manufacture high efficiency power systems that provide DC power for remote applications in the oil & gas, telecommunications, rail, environmental monitoring and mining markets. Atrex Energy began as the advanced Research and Development division of Acumentrics Corporation, a manufacturer of highly reliable power products such as rugged, uninterruptible power supplies for use in harsh environments. Founded in 1994, Acumentrics Corporation created the R&D division in 1999 to help develop both a compact energy storage device based on a rapidly spinning flywheel and a unique remote power generator using solid oxide fuel cell technology.
