Auburn Corporation was founded in 1914, in Chicagos Auburn Gresham neighborhood. Starting as a small shop of Swedish immigrants, we initially manufactured wood screens and sash for windows, doors and porches. Using a storefront location on Racine Avenue to sell its products to surrounding neighborhood homes and businesses, Auburn Screen Company became well-known within Chicagoland. The introduction of aluminum replacement windows in the 1960s and abuilding catastrophe, shifted Auburns primary focus from manufacturing for local residences to commercial installation of windows and doors in buildings around the city. Today, Auburn Corporation is one of the leading window and door companies in Chicago.
