Ausley Construction was established in 1958 by J. Carlyle Ausley Jr., a 1956 graduate of the University of Florida with a degree in Building Construction and a minor in Civil Engineering. In the late 1950s and early 1960s, Ausley Construction was primarily a local residential and commercial construction firm but grew quickly into a singularly focused commercial firm that began expanding into and beyond the greater Central Florida Market. The key industries fueling growth were education facilities, healthcare and religious structures.
