AVANTGARDE SHIPPING CORPORATION is a Philippine Maritime Employment Agency duly licensed by the Department of Migrant Workers (formerly P.O.E.A.) Founded on July of 1985 as Avantgarde Enterprises International by LEVY G. REBAMONTAN, The company earned its first license by the POEA on January 9, 1986. And on December 22 of 1987, the company was incorporated and re-named as AVANTGARDE SHIPPING CORPORATION. AVANTGARDE has manned NTC supertankers plying the Persian Gulf routes. This enabled the company to develop a manpower pool for tankers. From the mid 80s, AVANTGARDE started supplying Filipino crew for various types of vessels, such as general cargo, container ships, bulk carriers, LPGs, LNGs and chemical tankers, VLCCs, car carriers, reefers, research/ survey chips, anchor handling tugs, supply and fishing boats, and passenger/ cruise liners.
