Aviation Polytechnic of Surabaya

The existence of Poltekbang Surabaya began with the utilization of the assets of the Regional Office III of the Directorate General of Civil Aviation Surabaya in 1989 under the name Surabaya Aviation Education and Training Center in accordance with the Decree of the Minister of Transportation No. 22 of 1989 concerning the Organization of the Surabaya Aviation Education and Training Center. Based on the Decree of the Minister of Transportation, a joint flight education and training organization was formed apart from in Surabaya as well as in Medan, Palembang, Makassar and Jayapura, with the main task and function of organizing education and training, routine operations and building facilities and infrastructure.
