Since 2014, weve been operating in legal cannabis industries within North America. As the industry continues to evolve, mature and consolidate, we recognized that existing and traditional distribution models were becoming less valuable, as access to manufacturing and global supply chains became available. However, we recognized there were fundamental challenges shared by many cannabis operators (including ourselves) who tried to create cost savings and competitiveness through outsourcing strategies (mostly located in China). China doesnt have a legal cannabis industry and most likely wont for a very long time, so the gap between industry knowledge, understanding business needs and consumer behavior was a significant barrier for execution and efficiency.
