AVNI- The Eco Club of Gargi College

AVNI- THE ECO CLUB of Gargi College, works towards creating an eco-friendly environment in and around the college thereby contributing towards saving our planet Earth. It was established to create environmental consciousness and develop environmental ethics among students. Our Eco Club aims to create clean and green consciousness amongst students through various innovative methods and to involve students in open orientation and green programs in college. Our hashtag for the session 2020-21 was #HOPE - Harmony_On_Planet_Earth The Plantation drive (Plant a veggie), along with the Composting Activity (Manure Preparation), conducted in the 2020-21session saw participation of around 135 students, who grew a variety of plants, and vegetables at their homes. Eco-Baithak were conducted, on themes like Green Diwali so as to give volunteers an open platform for discussing their views and ideas.
